The Arkansas Track Club kicked off 2026 in style at Cupid’s Kilometers, the opening event of the Run Bentonville Race Series!
Hosted by Bentonville Parks & Recreation, the Run Bentonville Race Series is an annual lineup of themed races that bring the Northwest Arkansas running community together in the most fun way possible. From festive vibes to fast courses, these races are always a highlight of the year — and Cupid’s Kilometers started the series off strong.
A Rainy (But Warm!) February Race Day
February in NWA usually means cold air and bundled layers — but this year, Cupid brought a little warmth along with the rain. The temperatures were higher than typical for this time of year, and while spectators lined the course with umbrellas, our runners embraced the drizzle and had an absolute blast.
The atmosphere was electric, and with 809 runners in the 4K and 1,059 runners in the 8K, the competition was deep and exciting!
In total, Arkansas Track Club had 4 runners in the 4K and 8 runners in the 8K and they showed up ready to compete!
💘 4K Highlights
With 809 entries toeing the line, the 4K was stacked — and our athletes delivered!
Amber D’Angelo ran a strong and confident race, finishing in 17:24 and claiming 1st place in her age group! What a way to open the season!

💘 8K Highlights
The 8K field featured 1,059 runners, and the pace was HOT despite the rain.
Noah McMurtrey put down an impressive performance, finishing in 26:32 and earning 3rd overall in a highly competitive field. Huge run!

Megan Taylor crossed the line in 29:05, taking 2nd Overall Female — and here’s the extra amazing part: this was her first race postpartum! What an inspiring comeback performance. Strength, determination, and speed all in one race!

In addition to our 12 athletes competing, our coaches were out there supporting, cheering, and celebrating every finish. That’s what Arkansas Track Club is all about — community, growth, and showing up for one another.
Rainy race days have a special kind of magic. They build grit, create memories, and give us stories we’ll tell all season long.
See How We Stacked Up
With over 1,800 total runners across both races, it was an incredible day of competition. Be sure to check out the official results (link here) to see how our Arkansas Track Club athletes stacked up against the field!
Cupid’s Kilometers may have kicked off the Run Bentonville Race Series, but this is just the beginning for Arkansas Track Club in 2026. If this race is any indication, it’s going to be a fast, fun, and unforgettable season.
Let’s keep running strong, Arkansas! 💙🔥
